Summer

SUMMER!!! (Imagine me screaming.) I love summertime so much. I do love my job, but everyone needs a break and a change. Let's just call it a long vacation. I have been really enjoying doing whatever I want this summer. If I haven't been monogramming for other people, I have been sewing stuff for my house. We have been in our house for a little over a year now and I have to say, it's finally coming together. Ryan and my dad completed the task of building our fence while mom and I shopped for fabric to make new pillows.

Right now I am getting ready to have a baby shower at my house. One of my friends from church is having a baby boy and we are getting ready to shower her with blessings. What I love the most about having events at my house is getting to decorate and add "new" things to my home. Ryan probably doesn't LOVE the idea of me wanting to spend more money, but in the end we always love the outcome and it's always much cheaper to do it yourself and have it the exact way you want it.

I hope that you are all having a fantastic/relaxing summer. I hope to post new pictures of everything soon. I have TONS of pictures on my phone of all the gifts/home decor that I have done during these past few weeks, but I haven't had a chance to email them to myself or download them. Maybe I will get to that one day. Until next time....Bye! :)

It's been a while...

It has been a crazy past few months around our house. It seems like I have been going non-stop since Christmas. As most of you know, I currently teach First Grade. I have now taken on a new job teaching PreK3 next year at the same school. I am really excited about the new opportunity that God has brought into my life.We have been extremely busy these last couple of months. My mind is thinking faster than I can type. So I listed below just some of the things that have been going on in the Life of the Roberson's.

-March-- First Big Vacation since our Honeymoon. We went to Disney World! I know what you are thinking...Disney World is only for kids. NOT!!! We had a blast! Ryan and I would probably move there, if it wasn't for being 12+ hours away from our family.
-March--We FINALLY put in flower beds in our front yard! We were so excited! We did the entire thing for under $100! So excited! I still need to go back and put in more annuals, but at least I have flower beds, right??
-April--I turned 26. I was a little depressed. Not just because I am getting closer to 30, but because when I start thinking about all the things we have done in our 20's and it seemed so little.
-April--Ryan, my brother and sister in-law ran in a race called the Warrior Dash. It is a 5K race
with obstacles such as jumping over fire, swimming in pond, swimming in mud under barb wire, etc.... Let's just say they were VERY muddy when they were finished. During this time, someone had to keep my niece, so of course I volunteered. She is growing up so fast! That same time, her mom and dad stayed their first night away from her and left her with me and Ryan. We had so much fun! She is a handful, but we love her more than anything! Lots of interesting things
happened that night and I cannot wait until the day that she gets married and I get to remind her of all of those embarrassing things!

The BIG announcement is that I now have my very own Embroidery Machine! Sorry people who thought the announcement might be a baby. SORRY! Maybe one day...

I have been working like crazy getting to know my new machine. That bad thing is that I have only taken just a few pictures. I will try to post some pictures, if I can figure out how to do that with my new computer! Not only did I get a new machine, I had to get a new computer. My old one FINALLY bit the dust! So Happy Birthday to me! We went computer shopping!

Wow...I could just keep typing, but I won't bore you with my rambling.

Hopefully next time it won't take me as long to update. Hope all is well with everyone!

Have a blessed day!
