The Bracelet and more...

So many people have been asking me or my mom for pictures of my fabric bracelet. Here they are people! They are selling for $10.00 each. I can make them in any color fabric. If you would like to purchase any, please contact me by email laurabroberson@gmail.com or by commenting on this post. I am also posting pictures of my smaller washer necklaces. These are great for younger girls to wear. They are also interchangeable. I am still deciding on a price for the small washer necklaces. If you are interested in purchasing a larger washer necklace, they are $15.00 each. These are all great Christmas gift ideas and very affordable! Please spread the word to your friends! I have so many different ideas of projects coming up and I cannot wait to share them with you very soon! So until next time...Have a blessed day!

Growing Too Fast.

I am amazed that I am posting two news posts in one day. But I really felt that I should share some pictures of my niece since the last pictures that I have on here are from her birth. And let me tell you, she sure has changed quite a bit. I cannot wait until Thanksgiving week when I get to spend an entire week with Victoria and my family. Hope you enjoy these pics! On November 13th she will be 6 months old.

It's been too long...

WOW! It has been way too long since I have posted. For some reason I am having problems with my backgrounds not uploading, so if anyone can help, please do.

Things have been kind of crazy around here. This summer I went to school so that I could teach again this following school year. School started in August and let me just say, this is a totally different class that last year. Please pray that I make it until May. On the days that I am not teaching, I have been working on what I love to do the most! CRAFTS!

Lately I have been working on several projects. I am attempting again this year to make all the Women Christmas Gifts. I have several things that I cannot post due to family reading this blog. After Christmas I will post more. My latest project is Washer necklaces and bracelets. Check out the pictures below. Please spread the word. I am selling these and they would be great Christmas gifts. I even have personalized ones for sports teams, etc. They are really lightweight and fashionable!

I will also post some other fun projects that I have been doing around my house to get my house ready Fall. My entire family will be coming to our house for Thanksgiving this year so it gives me an excuse to get some of those "fun" projects done. Hope that you enjoy! And hopefully it will not take as long for me to post again!

Victoria Elizabeth IS HERE!

When I found out that my brother and sister in-law were expecting a baby, I was very unsure on how I would react with them having a child. I cannot express my emotions right now. She is so very special to me! I never thought that I would feel this way about a baby, but wow...she totally has me wrapped around her finger!

On Thursday morning, at 4:00 AM I received a call from my mother telling me that my brother and sister in-law were at the hospital. I frantically got out of the bed wondering how I was going to get to the hospital that was 7 hours away from where I live. My sweet husband got up when the phone rang and immediately got online and found me a plane ticket out at 5:55 AM so I could make it to the hospital in 3 hours! This was the first time that I had flown anywhere since I was 5 years old. Let's just say I was really nervous that morning. I was nervous about the flight and about the arrival of my niece. My brother had a friend lined up to meet me at the airport and take me straight to the hospital. I actually beat my parents there and we were all still waiting on Victoria's arrival.

My sister in-law is AWESOME! She was able to deliver Victoria totally natural! What a WOMAN! And from what I hear, my brother was AWESOME that day too! He helped in every way he could to keep Elizabeth focused on delivering Victoria.

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

More exciting news...I met some of my future neighbors this past weekend and they are awesome! I cannot wait to get to know them better!

A little update...The countdown begins for my niece! I have heard that she seems to want to make an appearance a little early! Maybe we will have another April birthday in our family! Love you already Victoria!

Baby Victoria Elizabeth

In March, I gave my sister in-law and brother a baby shower. They are having a little girl "Victoria Elizabeth" in May! Yes, she is the first grandchild and is already spoiled!

For my brother, I wanted to do something goofy. At most baby showers, there are mostly gifts for the mom and the baby, but I wanted things to be a little different. I made my brother a "Daddy Duty" tool belt. I included items such as diapers, face mask, gloves, baby powder, etc. He loved it!

This is called a "Blessing Ring." I made it for my sister in-law to hang on Victoria's door to her room. At her shower, I asked the guests to write a prayer for baby Victoria, parental advice, or a scripture. After the shower, I attached the sayings onto ribbon and hung them on the ring. This hangs on Victoria's room reminding her that people are praying for her each and every day.

This is Victoria's bow holder. This was my first project for her because every little girl has tons of bows and needs a place to hang them! Unfortunately, I have not found the time to make her any bows, but she has received lots at her showers!

Mom & Dad! We cannot wait until the arrival of Baby Victoria! She is a blessing already! Please keep them in your prayers as they wait upon her arrival!

Diaper Cake! This was my first one to make. It was a lot of fun. I sewed fabric together to decorate the outside. You can also make burp cloths,
like the ones in previous post and place around it.

Super Easy Burp Cloths made for my best friends baby shower!

I will post more pictures on here soon! Just trying to get used to how all of this works! Thanks for being patient!

New House

I know that this blog is supposed to be mostly for my sewing projects, but I wanted to share some exciting news about some things happening in our life. Ryan and I love living in South LA! We have recently joined a new church, love our jobs, and are making lots of new friends. We are currently living in an apartment, but after much prayer, we found a home and are closing on April 16th! We are so excited!

I plan to post some more pictures after we have settled in!

Blog

First off, I am going to try my best to keep this blog updated as often as possible. This blog is to help our family and friends that live out of town to keep up with us! Thanks for reading! More to come later...
